Something you may not know about me is that I’ve been blogging for about 7 years now. I started on Blogger years ago under the name, Stuff and Nonsense, then switched to Nancherrow when I moved over to WordPress.
After a couple years, I just didn’t have time to maintain the blog as I had been, and I sort of lost my blogging mojo, so to speak. So I moved everything back to Blogger, so I wouldn’t lose it, cancelled my hosting plan, and just rested for a while.
But I missed it. I missed the structure and discipline of regular writing and designing. Photographying. Creating. So a month or so ago, I created THC. I’ve created new content, but have also been updating old posts and sharing them here. Many are, of course, homeschooling-related. But I also share recipes, write about homemaking, decorating, and even miniatures, which is a recently renewed hobby. I guess you could say, this blog is a collection of topics.
Last week was a whirlwind for me, as we used the weekend to make some college visits with our daughter, Fiona. She’s a senior this year and praying about where the Lord is calling her. She loved the colleges, but is also considering a year of bible school/missions in Europe as a sort of Gap Year.
Anyway, I didn’t get much time to peruse your posts until the weekend was over, but I did enjoy them just the same. Ready to see some features?
Congratulations! And remember, if you want to pin, please click on the photos to pin from the original post. Each week, I pin the party features on my Fridays Unfolded Features board too.
Now let’s start this week’s party!
Just in case you’d like my party button to post on your blog, I have included it here. You do not have to post it, but for those who would like to, I’ve created a shareable button. All you need to do is copy the link code within the box and post to your blog post, sidebar, or linky page.
The Rules are pretty simple:
- You may link as many blog posts as you like.
- Posts should be related to homeschooling in some way. (Education, organization, homemaking, parenting, etc.)
- Please follow me by subscribing to The Homeschool Collective or by liking my Facebook Page.
- Visit at least 2 other links in the party.
- If you pin, please pin from the original blog post and not from this page.
- Any link that is offensive or profane will be deleted.
- By linking up to Fridays Unfolded, you are giving me permission me to use one of your photos, with a link to you, as a feature on my blog.
Each new party I will feature a few of the most visited links here and on the Fridays Unfolded Pinterest Board for maximum exposure. The link-up will be live each week by 5PM on Thursday and will close Sunday at 5PM. I will be sharing the linky in multiple places and on social media for maximum exposure.
And before I forget, you are invited to join our private Facebook Group, Collectively Homeschooled!
