I love creating a storybook Christmas holiday for our family. And every year, we have our own Christmas feasties at a fancy table. Yesterday, I decided to do a dry run with setting up our Christmas table, and figured I’d photograph it all for your viewing pleasure. The house is fully decked as well, with a mix of vintage items, found pieces, and traditional Christmas garland.
I love plaids and lots of red, some silver. Actually, my cutlery was a fortuitous find as well. Out yard sale-ing one day, I came across a big box of actual silver cutlery; all for $15! It was from a church that no longer needed it.
Can I just say, polishing silver is extremely satisfying? There’s a sermon there, somewhere.
Here you can catch a glimpse of our Autograph Wall, one of the most fun ideas I ever had. It’s our guestbook, so everyone who visits our home signs it before leaving.
The centerpiece was fun to put together. I found the silver champagne bucket at our local Salvation Army for $12 and filled it with artificial pine boughs and pheasant feathers. By the way, if you’re looking to buy feathers, there’s no better place than Ebay. I got mine for less than $10 for two dozen. Order early though, as they can take a while to ship.
That’s our holiday table. Do you host Christmas?
