Welcome to Fridays Unfolded #4! I feel like we’re getting into the party mode with all the fantastic links that you’re sharing each week. I know I love clicking through and reading, pinning, and getting to know you. I hope you feel the same.
This week on Instagram, I shared some thoughts that I figured I’d share here, for those who didn’t see it. It’s about our dining room table, humble as it is.
This is such an ordinary table.
It was bought secondhand and isn’t particularly valuable or stylish. But. It serves us well. We gather around it on weekdays for devotions and school work. We regularly clutter its surface with paints, glue, papers and books, dollhouse bits, laptops, wires. Often a stray backpack or sweater gets tossed across it. Papers strewn.
For Too Special To Eat In The Kitchen occasions, we clear the daily detritus, set the Good Dishes out, and pull up our chairs for birthday cakes or holiday feasts.
This table has served pot luck meals and party fare. And many friends, and a few strangers, have gathered around it. Deep conversations and late night laughter have been shared here. Plans have been discussed, futures dreamt of.
Many math-related tears have been shed beside a patient dad at this humble table. Its legs have undoubtedly been kicked a few times.
Equations have been balanced and problems have been solved here.
I think it should have cost a lot more than I paid.
Maybe it’s not so ordinary after all.
Can you relate?
Now, let’s take a gander at the most visited links from last week’s party, shall we?
Congratulations! And remember, if you want to pin, please click on the photos to pin from the original post. Each week, I pin the party features on my Fridays Unfolded Features board too.
Now let’s start this week’s party!
Just in case you’d like my party button to post on your blog, I have included it here. You do not have to post it, but for those who would like to, I’ve created a shareable button. All you need to do is copy the link code within the box and post to your blog post, sidebar, or linky page.
The Rules are pretty simple:
- You may link as many blog posts as you like.
- Posts should be related to homeschooling in some way. (Education, organization, homemaking, parenting, etc.)
- Please follow me by subscribing to The Homeschool Collective or by liking my Facebook Page.
- Visit at least 2 other links in the party.
- If you pin, please pin from the original blog post and not from this page.
- Any link that is offensive or profane will be deleted.
- By linking up to Fridays Unfolded, you are giving me permission me to use one of your photos, with a link to you, as a feature on my blog.
Each new party I will feature a few of the most visited links here and on the Fridays Unfolded Pinterest Board for maximum exposure. The link-up will be live each week by 5PM on Thursday and will close Sunday at 5PM. I will be sharing the linky in multiple places and on social media for maximum exposure.
And before I forget, you are invited to join our private Facebook Group, Collectively Homeschooled!
