This is me, Alison, squashed on the living room sofa with my family. I am a stay-at-home mum, blogger, voracious reader, amateur photographer, and I homeschool my four kids. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and live in a small town nestled in the rolling foothills of southwestern Pennsylvania, about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.
I started blogging in 2009 for fun, but recently decided to put my years of homeschooling experience to work by starting The Homeschool Collective.
Just a quick bio: I began homeschooling in 2004 when my eldest, Noah, was five. Noah just graduated from homeschool in May, 2017 and is entering the Air National Guard and then college. I use the Eclectic method, and though we’ve had our share of ups and downs, homeschooling has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
I am thrilled you’re here, and hope that you’ll stick around long enough for us to get to know each other a bit. If you have a question, or just want to introduce yourself, you can email me. I try to respond to everyone. Except spammers. If you are a spammer, just ignore the email part. Because I will delete you with all haste.
If you’re on Facebook, I have created a group for homeschoolers just like you, and I would be thrilled for you to join us there as we discuss all things related to home education.
You can also connect with me through your favorite social network or by subscribing to my Newsletter.
